Southern Pacific Railroad “Daylight” 4-8-4


Southern Pacific Railroad “Daylight” 4-8-4 in the special 1976 Bicentennial colors. The train toured the country from April 1975 through December 1976 and carried items of Americana as diverse as the original Louisiana Purchase and a moon rock.

    My father worked for ALCO in the late 50's and 60's and was a friend of Howards. I own a wonderful original that was published in Fogg and Steam!

    What a delight to find this site. I didn't know Howard flew. Amazing man and career.
